<p>PURPOSE: To provide a traffic monitoring device for an ATM exchange without requirement to increase the number of facilities even when the number of lines is increased. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a line part 3 including a system selection circuit 13 which sends the inputted line number of each line to a selected switch part attached to each ATM cell, and two switch parts 2A, 2B including a taffic information counter 6 which outputs traffic information by counting a sent ATM cell classified by every line and every connection and a traffic information accumulator 7 which accumulates outputted traffic information. Also, the device consists of a system constitution control bus 9 which transfers the content of the traffic information counter 6 of an old operating system before switching and the traffic information accmulated in the traffic information accumulator 7 to the traffic information accumulator 7 of a new operating system after switching when an operating system is switched.</p> |
