PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a semitransmissive liquid crystal display device of which the process control of a color filter is made easier, brightness in reflection is secured, and optical characteristics are balanced so that color reproducibility in transmission is not spoiled.

SOLUTION: A reflection part 21 with the function of reflection and scattering of light and a transmission layer with the function of light transmission are formed on at least part of a pixel electrode on a substrate 1. A transparent resin film 31 is formed at least on a part between an opposite substrate and a colored part of the opposite substrate. The transparent resin film 31 is formed on the upper side of the reflection part of the opposite substrate, and has an area of 90% of the colored part per 1 pixel.
