CONNECTING METHOD FOR OPTICAL SUBMARINE CABLE AND SUBMARINE REPEATER AND CONNECTING FACTORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of connection for a submarine optical cable and the submarine repeater facilitating the loading of the optical cable connected to the submarine repeater to a shipping route and reducing the danger in an operation.

SOLUTION: The method for connecting the submarine optical cable and the submarine repeater comprises the installation of a temporary placement place (12) to temporarily place the submarine optical cable. A connecting chamber (13) where the connecting operation of the submarine optical cable (10) and the submarine repeater (11) is installed in a position which is higher than the temporary placement place. An end part (10a) of the submarine optical cable which is to be connected is pulled up from the temporary placement place and conducted to the connecting chamber. The connection of the submarine optical cable end part and the submarine repeater is carried out in the connecting chamber.
