<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag on a steering wheel in which the front of the upper half of an occupant can be received by a front surface of the air bag almost simultaneously as the air bag is expanded by composing it in such a way that the front surface of the air bag is roughly vertical compared to conventional devices. <P>SOLUTION: In this air bag 1, a circular rear panel 7 and a front panel 8 are coupled with each other through a strip of a middle panel 9 by sewing or the like.
