<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weight sensor for a seat at a low cost which is superior in durability, can measure accurately weight of a crew sitting on a seat and is easy to be fixed to the seat. <P>SOLUTION: A spring member is interposed between the sensor and a main member to which the weight of the crew sitting on the seat is applied. A sensor element is arranged on a seat frame retaining the main member and has a rotating shaft. A resistance value of the sensor element changes corresponding to rotation of the shaft. One end of a linkage member is fixed to the rotating shaft of the sensor element, and the other end is put on the main member. The weight sensor for a seat consists of the sensor element and the linkage member, and the sensor element measures displacement of the main member, thereby measuring the weight of the crew. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
