LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition having very excellent maintainability of a basic value and high temperature cleanability under a high temperature. SOLUTION: This lubricating oil composition comprises (A) 0.005-1% by mass based on a metal element conversion amount of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal salicylate cleaning agent having 2.6 or less metal ratio and (B) 0.005-0.5% by mass based on a phosphorus element conversion amount of a phosphorus-containing abrasion-inhibiting agent without zinc dithiophosphate in a base oil of the lubricating oil.
