PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump pit structure for a low-temperature storage tank capable of manufacturing a pump pit of an arbitrary dimension determined while considering the workability in the pump pit without increasing the construction cost, and not having a discontinuous part of a corrugation laid on a membrane. SOLUTION: In this low-temperature storage tank having a parallel contraction-type membrane structure on an inner face of the storage tank including a bottom slab part, the membrane with the corrugation having the continuity to the corrugation of the membrane laid on the bottom slab part, is laid on an inner face of the pump pit 4 mounted on the bottom slab part.
