PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder having small fear of the overlapped feeding or a paper jam of recording paper sheets by reducing fear that the recording paper sheet drawn by the recording paper sheet during the paper feeding and projected to an outlet of a paper feeding cassette cannot be perfectly returned into the cassette by a reverse roller. SOLUTION: The reverse roller 74 is disposed in a position wherein a space between an outlet portion of the paper feeding cassette 70 and the peripheral face of the paper feeding roller 71 is blocked, extremely near the outlet portion of the cassette 70. The cassette 70 is disposed with a driven roller 11 with the driven roller 11 drivenly rotatably journaled near the paper feeding roller 71. The driven roller 1 moves to a position wherein the recording paper sheet P is pressed to the reverse roller 74, drivenly rotates in a contacting state with the recording paper sheet P, and presses the recording paper sheet P on the lower side of the recording paper sheet P to the peripheral face of the reverse roller 74. A tray part 70a of the outlet portion of the recording paper sheet P is formed with an inclined face 78 inclining toward the tray part 70a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
