COWL STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cowl structure for a vehicle making an energy absorption efficiency against a load from above the vehicle well without impairing rigidity of a car body. SOLUTION: A rear edge part 14a of an extension cowl top member 14 constituted by a separate member from a bottom surface part 13c of this air box 11 is joined to a part at which a flange part 12d and a front end edge 13d of the bottom surface part 13c. In this extension cowl top member 14, a crank part 15 formed by upwardly directing and bending it as a rigidity varied part on a rear edge part 14a of a horizontal surface part 14b approximately horizontally extended toward a front side of the vehicle. A lower surface side 15a of this crank part 15 is joined to the part at which the flange part 12d and the front end edge 13 are joined from above. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
