PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an occupant by an airbag device and to prevent unnecessary operation thereof. SOLUTION: A recessed part 21 opened to upper and lower directions in a front position of a passenger seat 4 is formed on an instrument panel 1. A head rest 12 or the like is housed in the recessed part 21 in a housed position where the seat 4 is moved forward more greatly than a normal seat using range and a seat back 11 is tilted forward. The airbag device 45 is arranged in the instrument panel 1 in a lower direction (Fig. 16) or in a front position of the recessed part 21. When the seat 4 is in the housed position, operation of the airbag device 45 is inhibited. When the seat 4 is in the normal seat using position, the airbag device 45 is operated, and an airbag main body 45d is inflated and developed in a cabin 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
