A rope-swing prevention device of an elevator device where an elevator cage and a counter weight are suspended by a main rope. The rope-swing prevention device comprises installation members installed so as to face each other in the vicinity of path of up/down movement of the counter weight, frames mounted between the installation members with a predetermined distance kept from the counter weight that moves up and down as the elevator cage moves up and down, and first and second elastic bodies applied doubly on the exterior surfaces of the frames. The rope-swing prevention device has excellent wear resistance to a shock, and reduces damage to the rope.
