<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make realizable a real-time power measurement at a high speed and in a highly insulated state. <P>SOLUTION: The power measurement device is provided with a Faraday cell 1 to which current (magnetic field) is supplied; a Pockels cell 2 to which voltage (electric field) is applied; a quarter-wavelength plate 3; a light beam splitter 6 which splits a modulated light from this quarter-wavelength plate 3 into two light beams; photodiodes 71, 72 which convert the respective light beams into electric signal; and amplifiers 81, 82.
