TRANSPARENT SOUND-INSULATING WALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent sound-insulating wall which can improve the sound insulating performance without increasing the thickness of the wall as compared with the conventional wall, does not consequently require a change of specifications for the purpose of installation and can be easily manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: The transparent sound-insulating wall consists of two transparent resin plates which have different thicknesses and a damping sheet layer which consists of an organic polymeric material of≥1.5 in the peak value of a loss tangent (tanδ) and is held between the two transparent resin plates. The organic polymeric material is a chlorine-based polymeric material and contains a rosin- based compounds. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
