A process for connecting adjoining edge regions (11,12) of placards (9,10) near the picture change unit (1), comprises applying connection flaps (13,14) made of plastic. The flaps hook into each other over their length, and consist of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film material. The film material is formed over the hook area by heat treatment, and the flaps are applied using an adhesive.
