Thermal and/or acoustic insulation for outside/inside walls and roofs is applied to the brickwork by machine and contains aerogel. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method of applying the insulation by forcing a thin stream of dry aerogel mixture with air through a pipe to a mixer with spray nozzle close to the application position, mixing with the binder, passing in a compact stream to the spray nozzle and applying to the required area under compressed air pressure; (2) method of applying the material by producing ready-made insulation material containing aerogel and application by machine or by hand.
