The electrical plug connector has an external housing consisting of a base and cover and a pivoting locking lever (11) mounted on the base able to latch with a locking journal on the cover. The locking lever contains a plastic bearer body (17) with an integrated metal clip (16), whereby the bearer body forms a lead-in slope for bringing the locking journal into a locking aperture.
