PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing concrete by which hardened concrete suppressive in the reduction of strength while maintaining excellent freezing and thawing resistance can be obtained. SOLUTION: In the method for producing concrete where cement, water and an air-entraining agent are blended and kneaded, an alkali metal is further blended therein, and kneading is performed so that the concentration of alkali metal ions in the liquid phase of fresh concrete is controlled to≥0.30 mol/L.
