PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately realize a desired curvature even with slight force. SOLUTION: In a curvature variable rod, a first link structure and a second link structure juxtaposed with the first link structure are provided. The first and second link structures comprise a plurality of link members 100 to 500 connected to each other in a freely rockable way through gear parts. Each of the link members has two rocking shafts 104 and 106 that are spaced at a fixed pitch when the link structures are configured to be on one straight line. The link member 100 constituting the first link structure and a link member 300 constituting the second link structure share a rocking shaft 105 with a half pitch shifted from each other.
