PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body frame 20 for a rough terrain crane capable of heightening the rigidity of the front frame 21, rear frame 23, and middle frame 22 of the vehicle body frame 20 by enlarging their section areas as much as practicable. SOLUTION: The oversurface 22U of the middle frame is formed lower than the oversurfaces of the front frame 21 and the rear frame 23, while the undersurface 22L of the middle frame is formed lower than the undersurfaces of the other frames 21 and 23, and a front outrigger outer box 28 is installed in front of the undersurface 21L of the front frame while a rear outrigger outer box 29 is installed behind the undersurface 23L of the rear frame, wherein the undersurfaces 22L, 28L, and 29L of the middle frame, the outrigger outer box, and the rear outrigger outer box are arranged to lie on a level approximately.
