PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed unit with high latitude without being affected by environment and a material by stably feeding curled paper sheets. SOLUTION: Rollers retained by swinging arms are added to both end side guides regulating the oblique motion of a paper feed cassette as a sheet storage means. This paper feeder is so constituted that a drive shaft for applying a carrier force to the rollers is disposed opposed to the rollers and, when the rollers are pushed up by the curl, the drive is transmitted to the rollers.
