A tape-shaped molding and a belt for ball chain. A synthetic resin tape-shaped molding comprising a thermoplastic synthetic resin tape-shaped material having a fibrous material contained in its longitudinal edge portions or in the vicinity thereof. A fibrous material contained in a synthetic resin tape-shaped molding produced by injection molding of a resin of the same kind as that of the fibrous material with the use of a fibrous material as an insert, which fibrous material is positioned in longitudinal edge portions of the synthetic resin tape-shaped molding or in the vicinity thereof. A belt for ball chain comprising ball fitting holes provided in an equal-interval linear arrangement and ball securing protrusions provided around each of the holes.
