<p>A polymeric compound which comprises a polymer main chain and a metal complex bonded thereto through a substituent for spacing them at a given distance. Specifically, the polymeric compound has a partial structure represented by the following general formula (1). (1) Due to this constitution, the polymeric compound can be synthesized in an improved yield, and a desired metal complex can be incorporated into a polymer in a given amount. Hence, a white luminescent material can be realized and luminescence of a given color is possible.</p> |
