A method for managing solid matters, in particular, a method for managing building materials enabing their reuse. In a managing server for managing solid matters to which unique serial numbers are given, a database for storing the serial numbers of the reusable solid matters and information on the history of the solid matters corresponding to the serial numbers in a one-to-one manner is build. The management server receives information for specifying a component constituted by solid matters from a user terminal accessible via a network, specifies all parts required to constitute the component, and selects the solid matter applicable to the parts from the database.
