A simple constant temperature device for an electronic device and a method for controlling the constant temperature device. The constant temperature device and the method are for maintaining the temperature of an electronic device to prevent the lowering of accuracy caused by changes in ambient temperature. A container (1) having a high heat-insulation capability comprises a heat radiation unit (2) of which heat resistance can be varied. There is provided in the container (1) a fan (4) for circulating gas inside the container (1), temperature sensing means (7) for sensing the temperature in the container (1), and heat resistance control means (3) for controlling the heat resistance of the heat radiation unit (2) according to the output of the temperature sensing means (7).
