It is intended to provide crystals of 2-(4-methoxybenzyl)phenyl 6-O-ethoxycarbonyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside, which exhibits an excellent SGLT2 inhibitory effect and is useful as a preventive or a remedy for diseases caused by hyperglycemia, medicinal compositions containing the same and use thereof.
