The invention relates to a bristle for a brush, in particular a cleaning brush, a toothbrush or an application brush. The bristle comprises a lower root region, by means of which the above can be mounted in or on a bristle support or part of a bristle support and a free length arranged above the ro ot region, outside the bristle support which comprises a shaft region adjacent to the root region and a flex region arranged above the same. The shaft region comprises a lower shaft base region adjacent to the root region and a shaft region above the former. The flex region comprises a lower working and flex region adjacent to the shaft region and a tip region above the former formin g the free end of the bristle. The shaft base region of the bristle has a continuous outer surface with no recesses and the flex region has, at least partly, a profile formed from projections and recesses on the outer surface within a sleeve surface for the bristle. |
