<p>A ring suppression filter (74) used in a computed tomography system includes a high pass filter (312), a histogram generator (318), and a combiner (322). The high pass filter (312) generates an error signal (ES) for each projection data signal (PDS), representative of high frequency components. The histogram generator (318) generates a histogram (HIST) relating the error signal (ES) with the projection data signal (PDS). The combiner (322) combines the error signal (ES) and the histogram (HIST) to generate a ring corrected signal (RCS).</p> |
