PURPOSE: A fault information collecting system is provided to supply a high quality electrical energy by reducing the manpower for management of overhead transmission line and minimizing the time period of power outage. CONSTITUTION: A fault information collecting system comprises a fault detector transceiver installed in each of steel towers and embedded with a radio communication module; a central communication unit(100) installed in a short range communication area and embedded with a short range communication module, wherein the central communication unit collects data of fault detector transceiver through a short range communication and transmits the collected data to a data processing computer; and a data processing computer for processing the data received from the central communication unit.
