Process and device for hydraulic shaping workpieces

Fluid high pressure is used to reshape at least one workpiece and the equipment involves a tool with upper and lower parts. The tool clamps the workpiece in edge areas, leaving material flow free. The reshaping tool (21) is enclosed by a separate pressure housing (2). The lower part (3) of the pressure housing has an all-round recess (8) on the inside. The upper part (4) of the pressure housing has a projection with limited thickness which engages in the recess. A seal is fitted between the facing face surfaces of the parts of the pressure housing and locates in grooves (7a). The seal is of the hose type, fillable with pressure medium.
