<p>Several, preferably six, sets of horizontally separable mould sections which each receive parisons vertically from an extruder, have downwardly facing recesses which receive the tails formed as the moulds close. Grippers hold the tails while the moulds are closed and when the moulds are opened, lower the articles to aligned horizontal positions, from which they are moved laterally to a second station, the tails being removed meanwhile. The articles are deposited in aligned horizontal holding members. The holding members move the articles perpendicularly to the lateral movement and the neck is trimmed during this second movement.</p> |
