The machine baseplate (10) may hold four rails (12a,b,22a,b) for two carriages (14,24). Clamping members held by screws grip the foot portions of each rail and hold them in undercut grooves. The head portions of each rail engage in undercut grooves in sliders (16a,b,d,26a,b,c). The sliders are firmly fastened to the respective carriages. |
