The invention relates to a switch (1), especially a coding switch, comprising a stop body (7) which can rotate about a rotational axis (12) and which is used to adjust a multitude of switch positions; at least one input terminal (E); and a number of output terminals (A). The or each input terminal (E) is embodied in the form of a stop element (4, 5) which is coupled to the stop body (7). An electrical connection is produced in every stop position corresponding to the adjusted switch position between at least one of the input terminals (E) and the respective output terminal (A) by means of the electrically conductive stop body (7).
