SELF-CONTAINED PASSIVE RADAR TARGET

The target can be applied in radar training targets. It hasthe facility of irradiation with electromagnetic energy of randompolarization at angles from 0 to 180° from the longitudinal axis,as well as with increased effective reflecting surface related tothe lateral and longitudinal area of its cross-section. The targetcontains a body (1) covered by radio transparent material. Thecavity of body (1) houses a front reflector (2) and identicalsections (4) are arranged along the axis (3) of body (1) dividedby appropriate diaphragms (5). Each section contains crosspositioned polished metal plates (6) fixed to body (1) and to eachdisphragm (5) from both sides of section (4). Sections (4) arerevolved in sequence around each other around axis (3) at anglesequal and multiple to 2 rad. The front reflector (2) is formed ofthree interperpendicular polished metal plates (7). A respectivepolarization grid (8, 9) is mounted in a two-way manner on eachdiaphragm (5) and on one of plates (7) of reflector (2).(11) 190
