The invention refers to an apparatus that helps demonstrate in practice how the movement and rotation of the planets takes place and is designed to be used mainly, as a didactic resource in schools, technical exhibitions, the toy industry, advertisements, etc. The apparatus is made up of some rotating bodies representing the planets Mercury (12), Venus (13), Earth (14), Mars (15), Jupiter (16), Saturn (17), Uranus (18), Neptune (19) and Pluto (20), which are made of two parts, namely, a body II made of non-magnetic material, and a permanent magnet I (21, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35, 37) encapsulated in the body II. The bodies rotate due to the friction that occurs between a non-magnetic support (5) and the outer surface of the permanent magnets I, which have a radius of curvature equal to the radius of the bodies II, and due to the rotation, with the help of a handle (11), of the disc support (4) that has the other permanent magnets.
