METHOD FOR ASSIGNING TRANSMISSION POWER OF NODE B IN UMTS

PURPOSE: A method for assigning a transmission power of a node B in a UMTS(Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) is provided to efficiently operate the transmission power of the node B by classifying QoS(Quality of Service) into real time and non-real time classes and varying a residual transmission power quantity assigned in each class. CONSTITUTION: A node B assigns the minimum transmission power to a non-real time class(2). The node B checks whether a specific time zone elapses(4). If the service request of the non-real time class is increased and the service request of a real time class is decreased(6), the node B increases a residual transmission power quantity assigned in the non-real time class and decreases a residual transmission power quantity assigned in the real time class(14). If the service request of the real time class is increased and the service request of the non-real time class is decreased(8), the node B increases the residual transmission power assigned in the real time class and decreases the residual transmission power quantity assigned in the non-real time class(12).
