The exhaust gas collecting silencer has the exhaust gas collector, an exhaust silencer and the exhaust gas treatment system (20) all together in a single housing (15). This housing is attached directly to the cylinder head to provide and extremely compact complete system with the components conveniently situated relative to one another.
