The security marking is provided by a strip or band attached to at least one carrier substrate (24,24a), with functional and/or decorative layers, via an adhesive system which is hardened by an electron or UV beam and which is applied to the surface of the security marking in the form of a solution, removed by physical drying. An Independent claim for a method for manufacturing a security marking is also included.
