The rubber blanket form cylinder for a printing machine (2) has motor-driven fastening and tensioning clamps (19,20) holding edges of outer and inner membranes (11,12) under tension. The two membranes lie together except where separated by flexible pads (13). The pads may be of different sizes and thicknesses.
