<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To revise a path flexibly by drstributing processing functions of asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) transmission to a plurality of electronic circuit packages, forming paths among them, and conducting transmission processing so as to manage the configuration of the diversified processing functions. SOLUTION: A cell distribution section 2 has a plurality of input output terminals connecting to electronic circuit packages 30-35 and forms a path between optional input output terminals and gives/receives a received ATM cell among the electronic circuit packages 30-35. Furthermore, processing functions are provided to the electronic circuit packages 30-35 and the function configuration of all the electronic circuit packages 30-35 is set in advance and path formation is instructed to the cell distribution section 2 or input output terminals of each path are sequentially arranged along the path and the control sequence of the received ATM cells is set in advance and the cell distribution section 2 conducts transmission processing of the received ATM cells. Moreover, input output circuits are provided to each input output terminal and the cell distribution section 2 repeats input-/output to/from the same input output terminal.</p> |
