PURPOSE: An automatic transmission control method of a vehicle is provided to secure smooth shift quality by removing final shock caused by shifting and to improve reliability by controlling the transmission for temperature and an accelerator pedal accurately. CONSTITUTION: An automatic transmission control method of a vehicle is composed of steps for deciding an up-shift from 1 to 2-stage and computing fill time by TH and temperature and the duty of the fill time in the up-shift(S1,S2); selecting an initial duty value by TH if time is larger than the set fill time, choosing a gradient for the change ratio of a turbine, and correcting duty to the temperature and TH(S3,S4); selecting the gradient by TH if NO by the gear ratio of a whole shift range minus NT is smaller than 30(S5); setting duty=duty +/- alpha if NT-NTO divided by NTB-NTO is smaller than A(%) and selecting a gradient ramp 3 for TH(S7,S8); setting duty=duty +/- beta if NT-NTO divided by NTB-NTO is smaller than B(%) and selecting a gradient ramp 4 for TH(S9,S10); setting duty=duty +/- gamma if NT-NTO divided by NTB-NTO is smaller than C(%) and selecting a gradient ramp 5(S11,S12); and setting duty=0 if time is larger than S.F decision holding time and performing a main process(S13,S14).
