PURPOSE: A method for extracting a similar word using a similarity analysis is provided to extract an accurate word through a similarity analysis based on a sounding form of a syllable of Korean comprising an initial sound, a vowel, and the final consonant. CONSTITUTION: A syllable to be analyzed for a similarity is decided(S100). A similarity parameter weight value matched with an initial sound, a vowel, and the final consonant of the syllable is decided(S200). An initial sound, a vowel, and the final consonant having a high similarity are decided by applying the similarity parameter weight value to an initial sound, a vowel, and the final consonant of the analysis syllable(S300). Objected syllables corresponded to the analysis syllable are constituted using the decided initial sound, a vowel, and the final consonant(S400). The objected syllables are extended by applying a spelling recovery rule(S500). After a filtering process(S600), the extended syllables are extracted from a word database(S700).
