PURPOSE: A hollow plasma torch for treating noxious waste is provided to improve thermal efficiency, and to lengthen the life of a cathode. CONSTITUTION: A plasma torch for generating heat plasma and treating noxious waste is composed of a hollow cylindrical cathode(3), a hollow cylindrical anode(13) installed at the front of the cathode, and a gas injection ring(7) for supplying arc gas between the cathode and the anode. The gas injection ring is 2.5 times the diameter of the cathode. A solenoid coil(15) is installed at the outer circumference of the cathode.
