METHOD FOR PREPARING SIMVASTATIN BY LACTONIZATION AND METHOD FOR PURIFYING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing simvastatin by improved lactonization and a method for purifying the same which minimize the occurrence of impurities, and satisfies the conditions of yield, purity and reactivity. CONSTITUTION: The method of preparing simvastatin expressed by formula 1 comprises the step of lactonizing a compound expressed by formula 2 in an organic solvent using an organic acid enzyme of 1-3 pKa, and a drying agent. The organic acid enzyme is selected from the group consisting of oxalic acid, malonic acid, chloroacetic acid and dichloroacetic acid. The drying agent is selected from the group consisting of magnesium sulfate, sodium sulfate, calcium chloride, and calcium sulfate. The organic solvent is selected from the group consisting of methylene chloride, chloroform, and ethyl acetate.
