PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the sound control unit which can control twodimensional parameters by using an easy-to-use, inexpensive, one-dimensional operation element. SOLUTION: Cursor keys 7, an enter key 8, pattern icons displayed on a liquid crystal display unit 10, etc., are a variation pattern specifying means which specifies a variation pattern showing a trace of variation in the localization position of a sound image in a twodimensional sound image space. A rotary encoder 6 specifies the movement quantity of the localization position of the sound image with linear information. A CPU 9 calculates the localization position of the sound image in the two-dimensional sound image space from the specified variation pattern and the movement quantity of an encoder 6. The calculated localization position of the sound image and the variation pattern are displayed on a liquid crystal display unit 10. A digital signal processing circuit 2 performs a level balance control process for sound information to be processed according to the calculated localization position of the sound image. |
