<p>The gasket (100) seals round the cylinder bores (114) and separates the cylinder head (108) from the cylinder liner (112) and the cylinder block (110). The top sheet (102) is in contact with the cylinder head and the bottom sheet (104) is in contact with the cylinder liner and the cylinder block except at a groove (120). At the groove, the top and bottom sheets are bowed inward toward the center sheet which has folded-over edges (136,142). The groove is in a region of single thickness of the center sheet.</p> |
