PURPOSE: A softening agent supply device for a washing machine is provided to prevent static electricity of the laundry and environmental pollution, to reduce waste of the softening agent, and to improve rinsing efficiency by putting the softening agent properly according to the laundry amount with forming the stepped portions in the softening agent box. CONSTITUTION: A softening agent supply device of a washing machine is composed of an auto-balance(50) installed in the upper part of an inner tub with a softening agent supply passage, and a softening agent box(60) mounted to the auto-balance to store the softening agent. Plural stepped portions(65) are formed at the side of the softening agent box to check the storage amount of the softening agent. The round stepped portion is formed to prevent separation of the softening agent box against water stream in rotating the inner tub. An additional plate is formed to cover the stepped portion in inserting the softening agent box to the auto-balance. |
