The incandescent electrical lamp has at least one incandescent coil (4) and current leads (8,9) for the coil(s), whereby at least one end (41) of the coil is enclosed by a metal sleeve (63) welded to a current lead. The metal sleeve consists essentially of tantalum or a tantalum alloy. The sleeve consists of a strip or film enclosing at least one end of at least one coil.
