A cooking container 20 designed to brown and scorch slightly both sides of food at the same time includes a pan body 30 and a lid 40, each including a heating part 51 and a heat transfer part 52. The body of the container has a first cooking part 31 covered with the lid, and a second cooking part 32 having an open top. A plurality of embossments are provided on a raised portion 32 on the bottom of the first cooking part and on a corresponding portion 42 on the lid, and so both sides of sliced bread laid in the first cooking part are thus browned and scorched slightly during the process of cooking. The second cooking part 36 is used for frying eggs. A coated layer of fluorine resin is formed on the inside surface of each heat transfer part of the container. <IMAGE>
