摘要 PURPOSE: A torque sensor for a vehicle is provided to easily detect torque acting on a torsion bar and to reduce the manufacturing cost of the torque sensor by simplifying constitution of the torque sensor. CONSTITUTION: A torque sensor for a vehicle has a torsion bar coaxially connecting an input shaft combined to a steering wheel with an output shaft combined to a wheel, plural detecting rings fixed to the input shaft and the output shaft, first and second detecting coil assemblies(60,70) producing detecting signals, and a sensor housing receiving the detecting coil assembly. The detecting ring comprises a first detecting ring(40) of a conductive non-magnetic material and a second detecting ring(50) of a conductive magnetic material. The first and second detecting rings are each selectively combined to the input shaft and the output shaft. Each detecting ring is extended between the detecting coil assemblies from the outer surface of the input and output shafts. Plural penetrated portions(42) are formed to the first detecting ring, in the circumferential direction at regular intervals. Plural protruded portions(52), corresponding to the position and the shape of the penetrated portions, are protruded on the corresponding surface of the second detecting ring corresponding to the first detecting ring.
