The wheel is a circular disk made of steel with a straight-cut edge (3) with a set of cutter elements (4) adhered to it. Each cutter element is a square-section bar of abrasive, slightly curved to fit on the rim of the wheel. The hard abrasive particles (1) may be industrial diamonds while the matrix (2) is a metallic alloy.
